I had all of them as pets . when i was a kid .

Same. Probably a big reason the state sees me as an amateur Herpetologist and gives me a permit to handle them. I’m often finding snappers, wood and box turtles on our river restoration and wetlands creation projects.  I report any T&E species like the wood turtles and make sure they are out of harm’s way.
