Michael Britt
For those of you with young daughters. My daughter will be ten soon, so we plan to have her take the hunting test next year. What has worked for you guys, a good compact crossbow with a crank? If so, what make/model?
Roon
I took my test with a vertical bow and she will also. Bugs will be 10 in January We got her the bear cruiser lite. It draws I think 15"- 29" and 5 - 60lbs. She enjoys shooting it and waiting on next year jerseyhunter, Cousin Brown, Sharpdogs and 8 others 9 2 Not a complete a$$ hole just one of the dingle berries that hang off it. Bucksnbows
I bought my daughter a Ten Point crossbow with a crank. Too many years ago now to remember the model. But she has a weird nerve issue in her one shoulder and can’t draw back a vertical bow of any kind. She did great on her hunt test with her crossbow. Recurve hntr
I bought my daughter a bear compound a year before she took her test. She was 10 when she took the test. I started her off with weight under 30 lbs. I would let her shoot it and every few weeks or so I would crank the weight up very little without telling her. When she took her test she was shooting 35lbs without any problem. Michael Britt, Roon, jerseyhunter and 1 other 3

fab
Got my daugher the same bow , pink camo version. She loved to shoot and took her test at 11. Following season she lost drive to shoot a deer. Think seeing them in the yard multiple times a day caused her to see them as cute n lovable. dance and cheer did take to much time as well. She’s 16 now. We do whatever whenever she wants so at least u get some time with her. Now. Never miss I highschool football game or Dance showcase. Hope she sticks with hunting. If not. Also long aa it’s something you can do. It’s all good. Michael Britt, JFC1 and Sharpdogs

Dominant buck
I've been blessed with 3 daughters, although they didn't take up hunting they did join me in many scouting trips in Stokes, Gap, also took part in raising, training and running our hunting beagles. I enjoyed every minute of it. Michael Britt
