Wise old bucks live many years in those hills of Sparta mtn. Mostly nocturnal 11 months of the year! I had same experience a little south of you in Berkshire Biggins on cam, all night shots, I knew their routine, they lived on the mountain tops by day picatinny arsenal ridge, only one way in in both mountains and they knew it! Yeah if I was younger I could have had a shot but my mountain climbing days to set up at 4:00 in the morning we're over. I'm going with 3.5 but wouldn't be surprised if he's 2.5 unless nutrition and minerals are lacking or that's the genetic makeup of deer in that area.
