Physical Therapy Ends

BHC

Recommended Posts

Been going twice per week since late May, my doctor said no significant improvement so PT isn't helping, plus the PT location will not treat me for my cervical spine issues since I've gone so many times, and insurance said the same......oh well !!

How about the acupuncture

that seem to help

Well like many said it's not cure, I had days after treatment that I felt better meaning the pain was less other days pain was bad.....they added that cupping procedure on my last treatment 2 days ago...I still have two large hickeys on my back....rather have a happy ending 🤪🤪🤪🤪

Sorry to hear. I’ve been dealing with spine issues for a few yrs now. Definitely changed my life. Wish I would have never had surgery. The pain from day to day varies. I get numbness and burning in my legs a lot. Can’t stand to long. I’ve done 6 months of physical therapy. Changed nothing. I just got home from routine doctors appointment. She scheduled me for an MRI to see what the deal is.

Most treatment for back issues are like putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound but I have found that the right PT, flexibility in your hips and hamstrings coupled with cryotherapy works for me. The insurance thing is another issue. For PT to work you need to do it 2-3x a week. My insurance caps out at 38 visits a year which is a joke but I have my surgeon write me scripts for PT them fight with the insurance Company. What part of jersey are you in?

Have you looked into spinal decompression therapy?  I have a host of both lumbar (L5-S1) and cervical spine issues (C5-C6, C6-C7).  PT, adjustments and steroids were, and continue to be useless interventions for me.  I’m allergic to NSAIDS and ibuprofen, and refuse to take the opioids for pain.  What has offered me relief has been acupuncture and spinal decompression, and I use a TENS unit at home before stretching. Look into it, worth a shot.
