Shooting a lot of bucks!

LOL I remember going back some 30 years now at this point I was much younger. Still had the same kind of attitude I have now. Ran into a guy on one of the doe days that just shot a 4.5" spike. He was all proud of himself saying how this was the 9th Buck he shot that year. I said wow quite an accomplishment you must be very proud of yourself and walked away thinking what an asshole.

Not a complete a$$ hole just one of the dingle berries that hang off it.

I remember those day. 1988 is the year I shot my first buck over 100" with a bow and started the obsession for bigger and better bucks. Shot that on my 20th birthday Nov.10. Still to this day that's the only buck I have shot on my birthday.

Even before that I was never buck killing crazy even if I could. Think the most I ever shot back then was 4 bucks one year even though I pasted many up back then too. Had other friend's thought it was cool to kill a bunch cause they were allowed.

Found this old regulation set from 87.  13 bucks were allowed to be taken back then.  Now only 6.  Thought it was interesting.  Had forgotten how you could shoot 4 bucks with a bow in the fall between regular and permit seasons.

Quota's for bucks are still to high Lower it to 1 with Gun and one with bow and we might start seeing racks like Kansas To many guys shooting everything they can.

I was shooting the first buck that came by then using my second tag to go after the dominant buck.  Think the most I shot was 5 in one year.  Saved all my regulations and think I still have most if not all of them.  They were trying to grow the herd when I first started with low quotas and short seasons, then the tide turned and they went overboard.
