Was down in Cape May a few weeks ago and we met a guy on the promenade one night who had a serious telescope set up and a few ipads/tablets to show pics,  control the telescope, etc.  We spoke for 20-30 minutes and he showed us some amazing stuff.  If you're interested in this sort of thing and on Instagram, give him a follow.  @capemayastro.

The setups  can get pretty fancy and crazy expensive. I have a simple setup.

What he had looked similar to this one.  It seemed wider though,  so I don't think it was this model.

With 2 minute exposures, the camera sensor will pickup tons of stars. There are star reduction programs that advance AP's use to reduce their numbers, hence in most pics you will not see as many.

Very nice. One thing i do miss from being in the middle of the desert middle of nowhere is the night sky. Amazing what you can see when you get away from people/lights
