My downward health spiral

Some of you know I was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis back in May. I was a misdiagnosis by that clown of a neurologist at Chilton hospital.

Two weeks ago I moved to Alabama mainly to be near my son, daughter -in-law and grandsons. Also here is the UAB Kirkland Clinic that has a top notch neurology department.

I went to the Kirkland Clinic yesterday hoping to get the new drug (Vyvgart) for the MG. Instead, after extensive testing, they determined that I have ALS aka Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS is fatal I just need to make the best of the time I have left.

I know am new here, but I had to register to respond to your post. If you remotely believe you have been bitten by a tick, seek a Lyme literate doctor for a second opinion.

Neurologist are smart people but, when it comes to tick borne infections they choose to ignore that possibility.

I will introduce myself and tell my story when I have some time. Please don't accept this diagnostic until you explore all options.
