Caliber Identification

Came across some old ammo in the recesses of my old barn.  Can anyone identify this caliber?

Browsing the internet this was my best guess

U – Utah Ordnance Plant, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Operated by Remington Arms from March 1942 – Dec 1943, on .30 and .50 carts

Not using any lifelines or nothing, I'd say 50 cal off of a MA DEUCE. Pretty neat. Wonder what the story is behind them, 1942 and all.

The Beard says it's a .50 BMG from WWII.   With tracers.

 .50 caliber cartridge most widely used in WW2 and shot from the Browning M2 machine gun. Look at www.nebraskaaircrash.com

Black tip bullets are Armour Piercing and I am not sure but they may be illegal, however being WWII I am not certain they may be exempt.

Tracer rounds are usually red or orange.

Definitely .50 BMG for M2.  I've seen lots of them in my day.  Never handled the black tip though. Not tracer or incendiary.  Armor piercing maybe?

Defiantly .50 cal for an M2.  My question/concern if those rounds are 80 years old (by the look of the boxes in the back ground they probably are) is their stability.  They appear to still be live.
