No Bloody Hands Today

We spent the morning kayaking around Wawayanda.   

Bloody Hands is more than happy to let someone else take her fish off the hook when it's got lots of sharp teeth.  

But of course she always has to catch the most and the biggest fish.

Wawayanda does hold some real nice pickerel.  We don't have them in our lake so she didn't grow up catching them as a kid.

The record is 9 lbs.    I'm curious what this fish weighed.

Length x 3 divided by 2200 is weight estimate formula for chain pickerel by Connecticut  estimate guide. That would put it over 11 lbs if I understand the formula correctly

My mistake, went from memory. 27 1/2 inches, 6.5 pound. What does that come out to on your Calculator? I remember I was paddling a canoe with a rod out the back trolling a Mepps spinner. Mounted by Davis Taxidermy in Sloatsburg.
