Identify this snake!

Spotted this guy in the yard. Was thinking garter but haven't seen one this color. Small and thin snake probably the thickness of a pencil or less

Cool little snakes.  

 

They're tiny little suckers and they blend in so they're not easy to spot.  I've only found a couple of them over the years.  

 

 

Speaking of snakes, hey LittleM - our Fall Foliage Kayak Trip is October 10 this year.
