That was in the Raritan bay the one I saw. I did take to a guy couple weeks ago saw he caught a few Blueclaws in SR already.

I usually don't start kayak crabbing until after the 4th of July......but again.......your post has me itching to get out !!!    Another great report !!

Meh. I knew I shouldn't have gone. I stopped going in June for this reason, but I had off today so I decided to go anyway. Caught at least 2 or 3 dozen, but virtually all shorts. 5 keepers all morning... I gave them a pardon and released them. Maybe next month.

Good news is... Squirrel is still on the menu for these crabs. Caught everything on squirrel. 😆
