Reel Candy

Recommended Posts

I'm leaving for Maine later tonight for a fishing trip. While packing up the reels, these beauties are being left at home. One of only three good things that ever came out of France

My dad still swears by them... growing up on Rockaway Beach (Long Island) is when he first used them.

He gave me this years ago - at the time I remember him telling me something along the lines of "best reel ever made, bar none" or something to that effect :D.

I don't use it, but he still uses it when we go out - he won't use anything else! :) (well, I take that back - he did just recently buy a new rod/reel combo, but more to get a more stiffer rod than for the reel that came with it - I bet he'll take that new reel off and put this Mitchell on the new rod lol)

I always loved the little capped container to put the extra reel in - sign of quality!
