Crabs???

Making another expensive trip next weekend to take kids crabbing. NJ crabbing reports isn't really saying anything. Anyone been or know of anything happening with them?

Still early fir my liking.  But if you go to barnagete bring fluke gear and a clam rake

I stopped going this early in June - mostly shorts this time of year in my experience. Mid-to-end July is when I normally try to go my first time. Or wait till August.

They are doing well in Maryland. But nothing exciting from reports I have heard from Delaware and NJ. You may want to sign on bluecrabinfo.com. A few guys there will give you an idea of numbers but not spots if you message them.

Still too early for me but barnegate always seems to get going a little early.

I figured early, we are going to sleep on boat Friday and give hell whatever we can, worst case hopefully clams for dinner Saturday night

If you are going to barnagette pm me I'll give you a couple fluke spots n a possible spot for crabs

Major shed just happened . Crabbing has been off because of it .

I would give it a few weeks to let them start to fill up .
