hammer4reel
We decided to bait fish for biscuits today . heavy fog this morning so shucked a bushel of clams and salted them down. as the fog started to Lift we headed out . Was drop and reel catching for 7 hours , just a ridiculous amount of 12” fish . made a few moves looking for better quality and when we got on them the ice hotel filled quick . had to be at least 10 shorts for every keeper today . (A lot time spent venting fish today ) also had one keeper cod that still had a small lobster in his gullet . once we had our limit we headed in on flat seas . . awesome day not fishing in a crowd like it will be tomorrow. ‘Tracey picked up a new money man on the way in . . . A guy was trying to run along side me in about a 24’ with a 400 on it . he was out of the water more than he was in it . I was feeling the jolts just watching him crash in and out of the waves . was glad for my heavy hull . ‘’the afternoon was about as nice as it gets . . .
