Merkel
We fished the Muscontectong mid-day today. Water was clear and high but down a bit from when I checked it on Friday. Caught and released several rainbows.
Bucksnbows
Safe wading levels in the Musky are 400 cfs and lower. River is currently running 792, so twice that. It doesn’t mean you can’t fish it, but you have to be very careful if you are wading it. Any more rain, and that river will be blown out quickly. TDietz
Yeah I was planning on finally getting out tomorrow, hit the TCA at Point mountain, but I just came down 57 up by Hackettstown and it’s still too high for these weak old legs. It's our best wild trout river of any size and has all three trout species naturally reproducing. This "rookie" is headed to it now to find some heads poking through the film, sipping Hendrickson mayfly duns hopefully..... The most amazing part about all that is that Budd lake is such stinky mud hole. Good luck with the drys!
