Sussex Federation Annual Kids Fishing Derby May 16th

The Sussex County Federation of Sportsmen’s clubs will be hosting our annual kids fishing derby for 2015:

 

At the Sussex County Fairgrounds main entrance pond, in Agusta NJ 9am-noon, on Saturday the 16th. (Rain date May 17th). Open to all kids up to the age of 15. Admission is one can of food for the Sussex County food bank. Worms will be provided, but you may fish with any lures or other live bait you bring. You must bring poles, and tackle for the kids. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish in each age group. The prizes are always pretty good, bikes, poles, tackle boxes, tackle, nets ect. (Every kid will get something catch or not.) Life long fond childhood memories waiting to be made.

 

This pond has a good amount of Largemouth, Catfish, Crappie, and Bluegill sunfish.

 

In the past breakfast and drinks were on site, provided by the local Boy Scout troop, this year they will not be with us.

FISHING DERBY POSTPONED Due to the low water level and the dangerous climb down the pond’s bank, the Sussex County Federation of Sportsmen’s Club’s fishing derby scheduled for Saturday May 16th has been postponed.
