Long Day on the Ice…

Got on the ice yesterday at first light in just about sub zero temps. The sun got up and warmed things a bit. Very happy with the new Eskimo shelter and mr buddy heater to warm up and make the day more comfortable. Long day with not much action but did manage a nice pike and a perch. Wrapped it up at sundown. Felt good to be back on the hard water again.

1 day i'll try this. Seen several people on Assunpink years ago when i was permit shotgun hunting in there.

I have to get over the fact that i'm standing on frozen water that's deeper than i am tall.

Good fishing. 

Found one up north top of the ADks this weekend..slow bitter cold day but this made up for it and was a fine dinner breaded in lousiana fish fry.
