Ice fishing safe ice lakes

Recommended Posts

Figured it might be a good and safe thing to start this thread as the cold snap is here and good ice is just around the corner.

I’m going to share where/when and how thick of ice I’ve found over the next few weeks.  As outdoorsmen I think it’s a good practice to alert fellow fishermen to the ice conditions.  Anyone else please feel free as well.  Dows bait shop has daily thickness checks too FIY can always call Lori there and they will tell you the conditions.

had a good year last year and got out way more then expected.  I’m hoping to get out 2/3 times this year with the new baby. I’m open to joining some people or people joining me.  Good luck to all and be safe!

up by me in Roxbury the state park will be frozen early as well as Tilcon, budd lake and most of the sussex lakes(cranberry, aeroflex, etc)
