BowhunterNJ Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Just thought I'd put a feeler out there to see if anyone was interested in chokes for a Benelli SBE2/SBEII shotgun. I have a BUNCH, they've just been sitting around, pretty much all are in like new condition, only having been used for patterning. If anyone is interested, let me know...I'll get the brands and pics together Update, added images of what's available. Also listed retail pricing estimates, would prefer to sell the whole lot in one shot but will sell singles/multiples. Any offers welcome. The full lot of chokes Buck Kicker, retail $70 Buck Kicker, retail $70 Buck Kicker, retail $70 HS Undertaker, retail $25 Primos Dead Deer, retail $25-30? Kicks Gobblin Thunder, retail $70 Carlson Crio chokes, retail $30-35 each? HS Undertaker .695, retail $25 Primos Jelly Head, retail $50 Carlson Crio chokes, retail $30-35 each?
buckman37 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Whatcha got? I don't know that I need any chokes, but I have a couple buddies that have SBEII's
BowhunterNJ Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 I'll get a list of them tonight. I have a bunch
CJ3a Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Bowhunter sounds like a expensive lesson in choke tubes. BowhunterNJ 1 I spent most of my money on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.
BowhunterNJ Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 Yeah I went through the gambit of patterning to find out I had a bad barrel. Benelli replaced it, and at the point I had a ton of chokes and stuck with what shot best with the "bad" barrel. It was a fun experience patterning with a mix of frustration and a drained wallet. Every gun is different, so I'm sure some of the chokes will fit the bill for others...in fact I'm betting many of them would shoot fine with my replaced barrel...I was just out of time/energy/money that I was willing to invest, did one more session with best chokes from the "bad" barrel and it patterned very well, so I stuck with it.
BowhunterNJ Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 OK updated the original post with pictures of the chokes that are available.
Haskell_Hunter Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I don't think you bought enough chokes. There are probably more on the market that you need to buy. I have 4 chokes for my shotgun, and I thought that was a lot. Sapere aude. Audeamus. When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.
BowhunterNJ Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 I also have all the original included chokes with the gun (think there are 5) and the chokes I use for hunting (think I kept 3). I had spreadsheets of everything, pellet counts, distances, conditions, etc...A LOT of time invested in it. When I patterned this gun, I did go a little crazy...but the patterning was driving me nuts only to find out the barrel was bad.
BowhunterNJ Posted January 30, 2018 Author Posted January 30, 2018 Bump of an old for sale topic. Still have these. One day I’ll get around to listing them elsewhere If anyone’s interested, let me know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BowhunterNJ Posted January 1, 2021 Author Posted January 1, 2021 I seem to come across my box of these every winter, so figured I'd bump it to see if anyone wanted to giving any of them a try or was interested in buying any.
