Rod and reel went overboard

I was able to get it back though.  My wife’s cousin dropped it somehow while blackfishing today and I was able to catch it.  My question is how do I clean it. Should I soak it in water?  It’s an abu revo. Thank for your suggestions

Right thing to do would be disassemble, clean , relube. rinse well and hope that's good enough is an easier option

Yeah take apart and Clean and re-grease/oil it. Or drop off at a place that can do it Like "The Real Seat"

I’d soak it in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes and then clean and lube it.  I doubt you’ll have any problems with it.

Hot soapy water and an air compressor. Relube upon re assembly

I would send it to the factory for service, that way they inspect the reel for additional repairs like new drag washers, etc...usually that will cost around $35.00

Either take it apart and do a complete cleaning and service or you will be THROWING IT AWAY.
