Hoping for a good spring

Checked cam around stand at end of afternoon deer sit and saw this group had come thru an hour before I got in stand. Didn't get out for fall turkey this week and taking one this close to deer feeder is a no-go, but hoping they'll be around for springtime 🙂

From what,I have seen in Orange County,NY- which is on the Jersey Border with MEGA HENS- I think there will " Finally " be plenty of Turkeys to Hunt in Passaic  + Sussex  Countys.

  We will see. Last 2 Springs there was very little Gobbling and Black Bears everywhere.

Walking into stand this afternoon I saw this group. 

Now I'm really regretting not getting out for turkey last week!!

Hen just came in to about 5yds from base of stand. Just need a nice deer to do the same 😂

Lowest turkey numbers We have seen in 40 years  in the Catskills.   
 

we coverd loads of public and private ground.  Very few birds and far and few in between  

 

almost no birds of the year around 

 

Extremely sad from what it was

That's not good!!  Maybe jump in coyote/fox population or food shortage?
