Road kill buck

Saw this guy on the side of the road by the Brundage area of Randolph on sussex tpk. Didn’t see an arrow wound so not sure if he got away or just nailed by a car. Don’t see to many bucks like this as road kill. Usually just spikes. Shame, would have been a great buck in another year or so.

This time of year, it's car bumpers as bucks chase does.  Cars see the doe run past not realizing there are bucks chasing, so they don't slow down only to slam into one of the bucks giving chase.

Day or two. It was probably cut off before he got to work or home

Yeah I saw that this morning….serious question - what does anyone want with scrub antlers that u didn’t kill yourself? Maybe dog chews?

Yep dog chews. My 9 m/o border collie puppy chews right threw them. All sheds and scrub bucks. I don't need a bag full or shead horns for self ego. My dog s enjoyments mean more

People want the antlers, for rattling, knife making, display, dog chews, etc, etc,

You can hunt that park with a permit. I pass it everyday and try to pick out the stand in the woods.  Past 2 years it’s not very far from the road or the walking path.  So I’m assuming car. If shot and from where the stand usually is they would have found it.

Agree, shocked those antlers are still on. Isn't it illegal to take the antlers/be in posession?

It is rare for a hunter inflicted wounded deer to die on the road.

I shot one a few years ago, behind my neighbors house, she ran down the driveway and did the Curly Shuffle smack in the middle of my street.

Have to add I don't live on a traveled road lol

One of the reasons that I don't hunt near town.

Whole deer was gone this morning. Quick work by the town I guess.
