"Double spur" is on the wall!

Some may recall my "double spur" turkey I got on opening day this past spring. Well, I finally got around to finishing the mount for it tonight. I'm not big on getting mounts done, but this turkey was so special I had to do something with it because I don't think I'll ever see one with double spurs again. This bird also had a triple beard, but personally I think the beards are ugly even when mounted, so rather than mount the beards, I took three individual but different style feathers from the bird and put them on front of the plaque to symbolize the three beards.

My dad made the plaque for me - I processed the fan and the legs myself. For an amateur, I'll take it  It is definitely a good conversation piece.

Looks great , but leaving the beard off is like having a mount with one eye 

triple beard is just as special
