Great Bay, August is normally tough fishing for keepers and alot of small seabass and other bottom feeders ripping up bait.

By me, Raritan Bay,  fluking at the end of the summer is much better in deeper ocean water.

Yea the ocean is better for fluke but I just prefer a small boat and the bay. I fished the ocean years ago and loved it, and loved not knowing what you might see but Im happy in the bay now. Ive learned to live with the greenheads.
