Turkey chicks

Finally seeing some chicks. Last week saw a hen and 3 tiny ( size of Tractor supply chicks ) chicks with hen. Yesterday saw 8-10 chicks ( pullet size ) with hen . These were all close to houses and on the side of the road, so maybe that's the secret to their survival. Anyway, finally some home for a decent flock finally in this part of Hunterdon.

I have not seen any poults or fawns  not good.

   So far,I have not seen any Poults in Southren NY or Passaic County,NJ.

 Hopefully my future Hiking will include Poult sightings.

Had 5 hens show up in my yard for the huckleberries yesterday, only been seeing one or two this year, and not one poult.

I’ve been seeing hens but have not  seen any poults so far in Warren and Morris counties.

I saw a red fox eating a rabbit. The turkeys a safe for now!
