Here's a video I shot today on stand of two raccoons going at it.

The bigger one just came in, walked over to the other one and tore it up.

Pretty sure the smaller one was bleeding a bit after climbing up the tree.

Turn the volume UP!

Can't believe a yote didn't come in to attack!

Skip to the 2:00 mark if you want to see them come out into view more.

I'm curious if anyone knows the "why" around this. Is this normal raccoon behavior? I realize both were out during the day, which is somewhat abnormal, but I've seen the smaller (younger) ones do that before. Never saw a big one come in and all out attack another raccoon though. This was vicious.

Went back to bait today and encountered this. Non aggressive. Just acted like it was hiding and I couldn't see it. Didn't want to move and I didn't mess with it.

They do play for keeps. You can see how rabies spreads with raccoons. The one in your last picture has a nice dark coat that's what fur buyers look for.

I spent most of my money on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.
