Anyone familiar with Generac Smart Management Module?

When my Generator is running I have no Air conditioning.
I checked the Smart Management Module installed by the AC and while the generator is providing the house power the light on the  module blinks ever 6 seconds, indicating "Gen Load Lockout".
This must be the reason why the AC is not running but I have no idea how to change this. I have no manual for the Smart Management Module. The only thing I could find was one section on it in the Transfer Switch manual. It shows Priority Setting between 1 an 8. If the AC was set to priority one there should be only 5 minute delay but it never comes on. Is this my problem and how do I set it correctly??

Just looked at their programming .

if your getting a Gen load lockout that module is set to not allow the gen to run the ac.

you have to program it as an acceptable load

I assume programming will s done on the gen set?

The settings are in the transfer switch then allowed to run based on priority. It is also possible although not likely that you are drawing too much on the generator to allow it to run if your draw is too high then it will not allow it to run

It sounds like he has the 50amp Smart Module. The programming is in the module.

I can go 3 days without water, 5 days without food but only an hour without air conditioning and my Mrs complaining :flame:.  Glad its resolved!!

I was not without it since we had no power failure. I just tested the system and realized I had a problem. It’s fixed before it’s too late
