Drought?

The rain forecast for tonight, tomorrow and Friday now appears to be shrinking at an alarming rate.  Has anyone noticed that trees are killing their apical branches already.  Looks to me as though the trees think we are in a drought already.

Everything is dry we have taken sheets and covered heat sensitive plants in the garden to lessen the stress.

I still see 1.5" of rain in the forecast.  I haven't checked out reservoir levels or secondary reservoir overflow, but I might do that tomorrow just to see now that you mention it.

I first noticed the trees ‘pulling back’ on hilltops away from water sources a couple of weeks ago and have watched the Musconetcong getting lower and lower over the past month.  Personally I want rain.
