Got to my location really early this morning. Was so quiet, I could hear a pin drop. Leaves were very crunchy walking in though. My other two hunting partners were about forty five minutes south from me hoping some deer would come through. I had a big sow, a smaller sow, and a smaller boar coming in every morning. I was hoping for a shot at the bigger sow. As I'm waiting for legal shooting light I hear some rustling just over the ridge, so I slowly get my gun ready. I see one, then two black blobs coming in slow. The last to come in was the bigger sow. She offered me a shot at about fifty yards at about 6:50, and the Remington 1100 barked, and she ran and fell, and rolled down a steep hill. What a drag, it was all worth it! Good eatin', and this bear is at Sahanas Taxidermy! Also, one of my hunting partners got a nice eight point! I waited for both of them to come help with the drag, and then went to the check station. Great day making memories in the field with great friends. Glad you were there for my first bear Willard and Paul!

Great Job!

Congrats! That's a nice size bear.

What did it weight?
