I like it here. It helps that I am one mile from the NY border.

Me too.  1 mile from the Pennsy. border.  I've been looking at houses and property in Pennsy..  Don't seem a whole lot cheaper that NJ now, since the Covid exodus.

I live 5 mins from the border and I think if one goes at least 50 miles from the border and off Rt.80 prices will drop...more expensive off Rt. 78

I think you are right,  north of 80 in the snow and cold belt is cheaper.  South of 80, towards Lancaster seems high.

When you live right on the border of either NY or PA, you have a lot more options for Fishing, Hunting, and of course -Trapping. To be landlocked in the middle of any state, you have to take what is given to you. Unless you want to travel.

Wallethub is a credit report loan type site.  They write nonsense crap like the linked article to get traffic to their site and downloads of their app.

It's a total fraud.  I guess somehow they think releasing nonsense articles will somehow make their app credible? Traffic = downloads of their app.

We live in a very strange world now a days. Everything is nonsense.  Cancel culture where we can't speak, woke crap, critical race theory, sex ed in kindergarten, ect.

Crybabies who whine about what they don't want to see are taking over!  The site that released that article about NJ being the best place to live knows it's one of the worse places to live. That's why they wrote the article, to fool people.

Give it 5 years or less when those folks are told to go back to the city to work.
