Took Mike and Brandon out for sea bass today .

first spot that has been great was like a desert .

told them we were taking a long ride . Took longer to reach the spot than it did to catch a three man limit  of sea bass all over 14” .

Vented and released lots of other keepers to get to fish a little while and headed back in early .

fish were stacked up 30’ high on the wreck ..

has been a great sea bass season this spring .

New to sea bassing,,,,,,do you anchor up Hammer?

You can .
I don’t

I drift pieces and we jig all our fish .
many spots were drifting mussel beds or rubble .

best of both worlds would be spot lock trolling motor .
way faster than dropping 5/700 foot of anchor line .

most times sea bass are easy to mark .
once get above them they will pull to the boat as long as there is something attracting them such as bait or flashing jigs .
once drift out of them go back and re drift like fluke fishing
