Nah, the Jones’s moved out years ago and took the sheep with them.

That's self inflicted.  The Colorado river never reaches the ocean because they suck it dry for lawns and golf courses.  :shakehead:

i am by no means trying to keep up with the jonies lol.i just want a somewhat looking respectable lawn.

would i ever pay a guy? hell no.

im all ears for going the natural way. the fertilizer i have spread was at the bare mininum. also tried lime.

Lime is for adjusting the pH of the soil, it's not a fertilizer.  I have never used lime on my lawn in the past two decades.
