I did it a couple years ago and it came up nice .  I only did about a 6 foot wide stand around a clover plot . I think I would go wider next time . Frigid Forage makes a plot screen that I may try this year . Switch grass is great screening cover but takes several years to establish .

I planted switchgrass earlier in the year. It is just starting to come up and it doesn't tolerate weed competition early on. The Egyptian wheat tolerates weeds better and grows faster. Eventually, I want all switchgrass

I planted Egyptian Wheat for several years as a food plot screen. It grew tall and thick but heavy rains and snow knocked it down each time and it never bounced back up to give me the screening height I desired during deer season. Since then I plant MxG for my screens on food plots and also use Cave in Rock SG for non-food plot screens.

Cave in Rock last winter.

I have had it planted on my 22 acre deer habitat property for 5 years now. It is a sterile plant that only spreads about 4 inches yearly from its base. It grows to a height of 10 or 11 feet each year and if bent over by snow or rain bounces back. It takes 3 years to mature but does the job by the end of the 2nd growing season.  Some of my plantings are 5 years old and some only 2. It is not cheap but should last indefinitely through the years with minimal upkeep after the 1st year. I'll add some more photos. It's great for road frontage/food plot screening.
