Youth Day Shotgun, Saturday

Just want to say good luck, be safe, and enjoy your time in the field this Saturday to all the young hunters, I hope each of you a successful hunt !!!

I'm taking a friend's 15 year old out this year in hopes of him getting his first deer with a shotgun.  I have him set up in a ground blind overlooking 3 runs/finger ridges that meet on a saddle where we often see deer moving.  It's going to be a very cold morning, so I hope he has the gear he needs.  I have him in the blind with his father while I'll be in one of my bow stands about 150 yards away.  

 

Good luck to all our "yoots" and their mentors on Saturday!  Be safe and be warm!!!

By far this was my favorite day of the year, back when the kids were still young enough to hunt the youth days.
