Zipper Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 (edited) Nice write up by a companion of Treds. I found him most entertaining, and post paralysis inspirational. Rest easy Tred. https://flylordsmag.com/remembering-tred-barta-an-inspirational-outdoorsman/?amp Edited April 27, 2021 by Zipper electric10162, tpr1921, Bonefreak and 2 others 5 "All men die, not all men really live". Swamprat Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Loved watching his TV show. I'd probably throw him off the boat because of his mouth but his could catch fish in a puddle. Lol Zipper, Dominant buck and electric10162 1 1 1
jumpthestring Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 I always enjoyed watching his show . RIP TRED BARTA Dominant buck and Zipper 2
nmc02 Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 I loved his show. He was a huge tuna fisherman. He kept his boat in Southampton LI. I saw him a few times, but never got a chance to meet him. Zipper 1

Woodsman416 Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 I couldn't stand him before he was stricken. Afterwards, I had the utmost respect for him in the way he handled it. Lunatic, the truth and electric10162 3
bushden Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Nothing stopped him from doing what he loved. WVAhunter08 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 I only learned about Tred towards the end of his life after the paralysis, little before mY time. Funny story though, on my honey moon in st. Lucia we shared a cab with a guy who fished extensively with Tred during the heart Of his career. He couldn’t say enough about how innovative he was as a tuna fisherman and true master. Sad we lost such a great outdoorsman. RIP Tred Swamprat and Zipper 1 1
