What Do You Think of the New Jersey Bear Hunt?

Governor Murphy has declared that the bear hunt is over. Sparta’s representatives in the New Jersey State Senate and Assembly disagree with his position.  Where does the public stand on the issue?

We are still have the highest black bear population per bear habitat square mile in the country.  The hunt got  the population down to a somewhat more manageable numbers but not near a healthy number for the habitat.  We will always need a hunt to bring the numbers down further and then maintain that healthy population.  This state will never follow the science!

Should be a spring and fall bear hunt. I hate having bears around.

I never had any desire to hunt Bears anywhere. I don't have any issues with those who do.  Just like deer need to be controlled in our populated State, I'm sure bears do too.

The bear hunt debacle us just another proof that allowing executive orders in place of voted on laws is a mistake .

‘non of these politicians should have the power to make changes they want , instead of for the good of all the people .
