Got dad in on some crappie action !

Since mom and her friend decided it was time for their first post vaccine A.C. Trip, i figured pops needed a day out on the water. He usually goes fluking or maybe an occasional trout trip, but this was his first dedicated crappie trip. End result was his best numbers day fishing ever !

final tally:

dad =between 50-60 crappies up to and including more than a few 13 inchers. Plus an additional 20 or more bluegills.

me = 50 crappies ...most between 8 to 12 inches. 3o bluegills. 1 five inch bass.( catch of the day lol )

one more trip to add to our fishing memory bank !

Nothing but 2in. Gulp minnows. 
my rig...plain 1/16 jig 

set dad up with his jig under a thill shy bite float. 
 

bites are almost undetectable...line just feels different and you got one on. Super finesse bite !

Took my younger daughter and  her friend fishing when they were about 8 years old.......they thought it was the funniest thing to catch and being able to say crappie.........
