We did, but it was 100% put and take. The Division ended it when Furunculosis hit and that was too many years now for any holdover browns to have survived.

I really no nothing about any state program to introduce sea run browns. But I can tell you without a doubt I have held in my hands more the one in the past 40 years that came out of the Raritan Bay.

Years ago my buddy's dad was on a party boat and a guy caught one. It was a beautiful fish. I saw the pics. Salmon like in colors.

“Bite sized gummy bears of the ocean” weakfish can’t survive a year past predation after millions of years of their targeted prey based evolution ....& word is a “cross-eyed stuffed fox” State program for sea run brown trout is successful....or even more prevalent than seeing Loch Ness or Champy!!??  
 

tack on the fact that everyone has had a cell phone camera in their pocket for the past 20 yrs and no one ever snapped off any photos of these elusive Fish and Wildlife prodigies!!??

Good article. Problem is NMFS seem to have a blind eye when it come to predation.
