Bucks have been following does in zone 8 for several days now.  I came to draw on a nice 8 earlier this morning before I had to leave for work but couldn't stop him in time for a shot before he moved into heavy brush.  He came by yesterday (private land) also without stopping to give me a shot, hot on a doe's tail.  The wind did not matter one bit to them yesterday!

Yeah they were active in the yard all day yesterday...does at least. Didn't see any bucks harassing them until the evening and that was only one small buck.

Best time of year to be in the woods is right now!

Had my 8 at full draw again today, but once again, no shot as I couldn't stop him from chasing a hot doe......tomorrow might be my day!

I could be dropping plenty of does, but they are bringing in the mature bucks right now, so they are all getting a pass from me during the rut.
