Just ran to the town next to us in Winfield for lunch and a few things.

Will post up tons of pics and the hunts when we get back as cell service is poor at the lodge..

In a nutshell, we came close this morning. Very close to 2 giant Rio's. No shot.

Headed back in the morning to a blind I put up last night...

Took a ride on the ranger and although the property has been cleaned up for sheds for the spring, Christopher found 2. And I thought he was kidding when he came out of a draw with an ELK ANTLER...

Brought it back to the lodge and the owner said it is only the 2nd one ever found on the property as the closest elk is known to be over 120 miles away.

Everything about this trip is amazing and I will post it up next week with pics and video..20210405_100438.thumb.jpg.cb03c0c13f66f65f3faf2f81baeb63c8.jpg

Cool sheds but Where's the turkey pictures?

I said to Lou yesterday that they are getting tornado-like winds without the tornado.  There were whitecaps on the lake, and the lake wasn't that big.

Not many trees out there to break the wind either.  Standing joke is that the state tree in Kansas is the telephone pole. That wind makes it sound like being in a Western movie!
