I think that's totally kick ass! I may do exactly that with a few skulls I have!

It doesn't take long.

15 seconds with a chainsaw and voila . . . a custom made, rustic pedestal.   :hippie:

Good idea, I like it.  I mounted a six-pointer, full skull including bottom jaw and three pieces of the spine on a piece of rebar I bent and painted black.  Stuck the end in a piece of cord wood.

Looks Good. that rack looks a little like this one with the flattened tines.

Yeah, those knife blade tines are cool.  Your rack has some great character, that right side is pretty crazy looking.

That rack has holes where the drops should be, dang it that mount looks cool, use a nice piece of cherry and stain it to bring out the color..I like.

Nice bucks guys. I like your other plaques better though Rusty. Those are awesome, this is the lazy way. lol

Love the fly holes on Rustys buck.

Is that the one from just a couple years ago? It kind of looks familiar.

Yes, same buck.  The antlers have been sitting in a box so I figured I should do something with them.  :tooth:

They certainly do take a while. After I saw the one you made, I loved it so much I made a few just like them but as pedestals.

Without a doubt though, they are awesome. One of my favorite displays.
