Looks like there might be a decent storm brewing for Saturday. Lots of precipitation and a chance of snow showers. Could start as early as late Friday night but going through all day Saturday.

 

Be mindful of the weather since it will be cold and wet. For those north and west, heavy snow can accumulate on unfallen leaves causing branches and trees to come down.

 

Please plan accordingly but most of all, be safe!

I'll be judging our One Fly contest on the South Branch Raritan all day Saturday in the snow.....

 

 

But I'm planning to hunt Friday afternoon after a guide trip I have early that day.  I watched a young 5 pt. shadowing a doe today in my woodlot while working out of the home office.  It's starting!

Just came in from blowing leaves off the lawn, then mowing it, so the leaves/grass don't get matted down.  I really hate when that happens.  My neighbors think I have issues, mowing in the dark ............  But its done and I can hunt now.

We did exactly the same thing yesterday.  One final raking and then mowed, bring on winter.

 

Did you remember to blow out the gutters?
