I would say, based on the position of the hog and the blood pattern, this is without a doubt a mountain lion kill.

Plenty of deer in zone 3.  You would never want pigs introduced anywhere.  They cannot be controlled and cause more damage than you can imagine

I hunt zone 3 almost exclusively.  I shoot some really nice animals every year.  If you really ever need some direction, id help you out

That's just not true....some places yes, plenty of other places, no.  I grew up in SC, hunted a 3500 acre hunt club, we always had a few but they never got out of control, I wanted more because I could hunt them year around and they're better eating than deer to me.   It was often tough to find any.   Wild pork is my favorite wild game.
