Indian Archery Longbow

I won this in a local auction,no markings of string length, draw weight etc. Just an Indian Archery sticker, looks like where the info is the labels are worn or torn off. there is a string with it and a belt quiver with some field tipped arrows. I looked it over for cracks, splits etc and didn't see any. It'll be home tomorrow, they are closed because of the weather today. It it's 35lbs or more i plan to hunt with it.

The only way to find out the draw weight is with a bow scale?

Careful, you might get cancelled if you get caught with that!😂

GL with it, cool bow!

Cancelled?

Thanks, been looking for a longbow or recurve. Something that not only can i shoot but the kids can too. I have 2 BEAR brand compounds and they're too heavy for them.

I have two of those.  One i picked up for $5 at a garage sale.  I sanded it down and refinished it.  The other one an old neighbor gave me.  Poundage seems to be around 40.  I need to refinish the one my neighbor gave me.  Hand shock is harsh.  I collect old bows.  I love finding pieces of gear like these bows.

$5. Wow, i'm paying $35 for this one. Nice,i don't mind fixing things up to use at times.

Was the poundage marked on either of them?

Thank you for the offer.

oldest son wanted to bow hunt but needs to have 1 that he's comfortable with. Not sure if he's still interested. He tried shooting 1 of my compounds but that was'nt working out to well. A cousin traded me a crossbow for truck tires a few years ago,He kinda wants to use that. I haven't even fired it myself.

I believe the poundage on one said #40.  It feels like more.  I have not strung the second one because I need finish sanding it.  There are no stickers or stamps that I can see.

I'm hoping this is atleast 40 but 35 is the minimum to hunt with here. I did see they were made as low as 25
