Whiting are good to eat, it one of those fish that a lot of guys overlook and just use for bait, bit they are good smoked, and grilled baked.

I remember back in the 60's there were places that you could trade your fresh whiting for for smoked ones(I think 2 for 1) or just purchase some. I was kind of young at the time.

I wasn't saying they aren't good to eat....they are a favorite of tuna; as is mackerel, bluefish, & ling
