I used Carell’s 45 shop in Bangor Pa when I rebarrelled a 700 action. Purchased a Bell and Carson stock that he opened the barrel channel and bedded the action. As for barrel he sent it to ER Shaw to do the barrel work. I was pleased with the overall job. ER Shaw at that time was a 6 month wait, several years ago.

Griffin and Howe at Hudson farm. No better.

Best around but a little pricey. You usually get what you pay for they are worth it.

I am not sure. That is why I left his number. It has been about 4 years since I last spoke with him.

I took a gun to Griffen and Howe today for repair and also to look to purchase handgun for my wife. No luck on handguns as they only had a few very expensive type and not for the wife. Not sure on the cost to repair my shotgun I’ll see when they call.
I did get to stare at an over under shotgun that cost $235,000 though.

Good to hear. I’ve never been there before today. I had posted on here few months ago about gunsmith to repair a very old shotgun that was my dads and few guys here recommended them.
Thanks

I have send guns all over the US for work with varying degrees of success. For barrel work I would start with Bob White then Griffen and Howe.  Bob game is benchrest and chambering work is a big part of benchrest.

I spent most of my money on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.
