What I meant was if your father owns firearms, passes, and names you in his will as my father did for his weapons, then you are all set so long as you can legally own guns. In my case I held a firearms purchasing permit and we both lived in the same state so there was no issue.In my case I held a firearms purchasing permit and we both lived in the same state so there was no issue.

Correct, under those circumstances. That is not always the case
