Gone to soon

Lost my 4 year old Gsp sawyer over the weekend. He had been battling a rare autoimmune disease his whole life. This last year we couldn’t get it cleared up like most of his outbreaks. He took 9 pills a day for most of the year and nothing was working we made the decision to not refill his meds and have a house vet put him down at home before he got worse.

He was one hell of a hunting dog and friend.

we went out for one last hunt before he went off to the big field up in the sky.

Pointing the biggest birds he has ever seen now!!  May he RIP now and comfort to you and the family.  Never easy making that decision.

From what Kevin told me you went way beyond what others would have done and you did it for 4 years. Sawyer couldn't have had a better owner and home. He was fortunate to have you looking after him as many would have given up on him long ago.

Very sorry to hear.  We lost one of our dogs last week and it was one of the toughest things ever. Nothing better than a loyal pup.
