Was out yesterday for a few hours and got one had 2 flushes. Seen a few dozen torn up but nice to see birds still hanging in the thickets. Seems like when they enter out of that zone the hawks and yotes have been cleaning up...

I had 4 cockbirds  and a hen hanging around my one deer set up until this past thursday. Someone finally came through there. It was the first time I did not see them. I saw the dogs prints and hunters boot marks so figured they would probably be gone. I did see two cockbirds last thursday right at the entrance to the wma though. They seemed to be staying in the safety zone.

Although a lot less common then they once were, there are still some self sustaining populations in NJ .

He is a healthy bird. !! Maybe someone's pet that got loose.  I jumped him and he flew like a rocket about 200 yards !!
