It's been so long ago.....but I would think some questions are basic firearm safety, hunter safety, and a few related towards muzzleloaders in general............................You will be just fine !!!  Let me start off with....Congrats and welcome to the world of Smokepolers  !!!!

yeah took the practice exam.. filled out the booklet, I knew 98% of the answers anyway..cant wait to hunt with it, only thing ill have a problem with is that ill only have one shot

Your target will be real close, so don't worry about missing.

 

The hardest part is being one of the last people in line for the shooting exam.  When I shot it was an in-line muzzy with a ball and patch.  The barrel was getting so fouled at this point it was somewhat of a challenge getting the ball down the muzzle.  I think it's one block of pyrodex as well.

well just got home from the test passed, easy peasy, took 3 shots with a .22, took test passed 100%, ready to go , yeah i was worried i was gonna be last but i was about the 7th person to take the field exam, only about 25 guys showed up out of 41, 7 guys had to take the shotgun test, so it was a good day.. yay me

Late ML is one of my favorite times to hunt.  The crowds are gone and there is usually snow on the ground.  I love still hunting after a fresh snow fall.
